Novo Sancti Petri golf course: set along a stretch of virgin coastline and just 3 minutes from Casa Alhambra, was the first one in Spain designed by Severiano Ballesteros. Offering two rounds of 18 holes (both are par 72) this 36 hole course is mostly set in parkland.  The various water hazards, abundant vegetation, and bunkers, as well as the ocean breeze make playing these courses a challenge for players of all levels.

Round A (Mar-Pinos) – 6097 metres (yellow tees): holes 1 to 9 offer wide fairways, two lakes and a water hazard. The most spectacular green is the 6th situated on the beach. Holes 10 to 18 are lined by Stone pine trees, offering a testing challenge.

Round B (Centro) - 5846 metres (yellow tees): offers a variety of challenges with attractive lakes making challenging water hazards. Holes 10 to 13 offer magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean, whilst the 18th has its distinctive "S" shaped bunker after the course's designer, the world renowned Severiano Ballesteros.

Course C (Campano) - The old rule "difficult par, easy bogey" has been the maxim when laying out this course.  Its clubhouse has also been renovated and extended by a new building with a bar and a restaurant.  The golf course is 5,840 m long (approx. 6,390 yd) from the gentlemen's tee-off -markers and is characterized by its abundant vegetation.

The first 9 holes are on a parkland course surrounded by the large villas of San Andrés development. You will need accurate and long strokes to overcome the pine woods and the water hazards. In the second 9 the numerous, old olive trees and three large ponds will come into play. The broad greens will challenge you to excel once more.

This is a championship course in which all players can be put to the test regardless of their ability.

The course also includes a large practise area providing a Driving Range of 280 metres length with space for up to 70 players simultaneously (21 spaces covered), 4 Pitching and Putting Greens and a 9-hole-short round.

The modern Clubhouse offers an A-la-carte Restaurant “Los Olivos”, Bar-Cafetería, Pro-Shop, changing rooms with showers and sauna, children’s club, Caddie Master, and Bar “El Chozo”.

The Golf Academy Novo Sancti Petri has several PGA-qualified professionals who take golf courses and lessons for beginners and advanced players throughout the year. Spanish, English, German, Dutch, and French are spoken.

Lomas de Sancti Petri - This course in Novo Sancti Petri was designed by Spanish champion MANUEL PIŇERO.

The course offers 18 holes in featuring lakes and other water hazards on many holes and superb bunkers around most of the multi-tiered greens.  The fairways wind through the stone pine forest leading back to a well-appointed clubhouse that offers all the usual amenities.

Typical of the area around Sancti Petri, the practice facilities are second to none - with a driving range, practice greens for putting and chipping and practice bunkers. A full 9 holes of pitch & putt is also available.

The practice facilities are less than 5 minutes from Casa Alhambra whilst the course can be reached in a 10 minute drive

Golf Meliá Sancti Petri: This new golf course is in Chiclana, only 2.7 kilometres from the beach and around 82 hectares in area.  The course was designed by the Dutch architect Alan Rijks and is his first course in Spain. The integration of the links with the protected natural parkland makes it a most beautiful and challenging Par 72 golf course (ladies 71).

The course has a great variety of bird life and flora. Hundred-year old olive trees were planted alongside the native woodland ofmainly holm oaks and stone pine trees.

One of the more pleasurable aspects of this course is the absence of buildings near the holes, something unusual these days, which adds to the special feel of the course and the appreciation and enjoyment of its natural beauty. When you are at any of the three tee-off areas at each hole, you can only see that particular hole, meaning maximum concentration for all of the players.

Three lakes and four brooks are the water difficulties that this course presents player.  However, it is the wind and sea breeze that are the main factors when playing at Golf Meliá Sancti Petri.

Montecastillo Golf Resort, Jerez: This course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and is considered as one of his best designs. 

This 18-hole course is 6424 metres (Par 72) hosted the Volvo Masters tournament for 5 consecutive years to 2001.  The course covers 160 hectares of beautiful rolling Andalucian countryside and includes a driving range and practice areas.

The course is just off the A4 motorway, 10 minutes from Jerez and just 40 minutes from Casa de Alhambra.

Montenmedio Golf Course is an undiscovered treasure. Its 18 holes spread over the softly rolling “Dehesa” in an unspoilt rural area near Barbate, approx 45 minutes from Casa de Alhambra.

The absence of urban development, and the lush nature and climate of Cadiz province make it a natural paradise.

In a near future a 9 hole Course and four 18 hole Courses will be built making this one of the best golf resorts in Europe.

Benalup Golf course: is an environment friendly course located inland just off the A381 not far from Vejer de la Frontera. Designed by the well known golfing architect, Baron Paul Rolin this course is just 30 minutes from Casa Alhambra.

Set in the mountains, with stunning views over the "La Janda" valley and the "Los Alcornocales" natural park, the fairways and greens have been set up in an ecologically friendly way in this lightly forested area. The 18 hole golf course has many water obstacles.  Benalup Golf has a splendid view of the “Laguna de la Janda”, an enormous plain, across which on a clear day you can see the coast of Africa.  This splendid golf course opened in August 2001. 

Playing golf has to be a pleasure, exclusive but still affordable, with respect for etiquette.  Therefore the club has chosen to limit the number of players per day, so they may play in a pleasant atmosphere on a course where nothing is left to chance.

The all-inclusive green fee makes Benalup Golf & Country Club unique.  The green fee includes breakfast, refreshments on the course, a 3-course lunch and drinks.

The Benalup Golf infrastructure includes a Club House with restaurant and bar with breathtaking views, golf shop, cloakrooms, driving range both on natural and artificial grass, putting and pitching green, caddy master and club storage.

Benalup Golf is a Par 73 course, including 5 pars 5.  The 6073m natural course with various lakes is a real challenge for all types of players.  The lower handicaps will certainly enjoy the technical challenge whilst playing from the back tees. The greens are large and on some holes quite undulating.

The course can be described as flat, with abundant trees that - apart from offering a nice landscape - provide challenges when attacking the green.  The water hazards integrated into the course’s design, play an important role in the game’s strategy.  There are 7 lakes in total.  

Hole nº 13, a PAR 5, is one of the most spectacular holes with a small lake just in front of the green.  The 10th hole 10, a PAR 3, overlooks the entire “La Janda” valley.  The natural yet technical Benalup course offers great versatility and is a challenge for all types of players.  The course helps each golfer by allowing him to get the best out of his game whether it is a good tee-off, approach or putt.

Valderrama, near Sotogrande: is an 18 hole, 6356 metres par 71 course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Senior, whom many consider the leading golf architect of his day. The course hosted the Volvo Masters in 2003.

The course is designed for the handicap golfer with an extensive range of tees: Each hole has a Professional tee (6356 metres), a Club Championship tee (5994), an Executive tee (5498) and a Seniors' tee (5053), as well as a ladies Professional tee (5294) and a ladies Club tee (4873).

The course is just over one hours drive from Casa Alhambra.

Costa Ballena Club de Golf: This course offers 18 championship holes, ideal for all types of golfer. Some of the holes run alongside the Ocean whilst the rest are laid to parkland, with lakes and strategically placed, cunningly designed bunkers. In 2002, 9 more holes were added to the original.

The course is a par 72, with a length of 6,036 meters for men and 5.155 meters for ladies

There is also a 9 hole par three course, ideal for practising short shots and the perfectly complementing the golf school. These nine holes offer different distance, from 100 to 180 metres to test every club in your bag.

Club de Golf Campano: Located near Chiclana, Golf Campano presents the player with a very smooth 9 hole course near Novo Sancti Petri.  This course has an excellent practice field and well equipped club.

Sherry Jerez Golf: a course of 18 holes (even 72), and a course of 9 holes (even 3) just 30 minutes from Casa Alhambra. It has a golf school, and floodlit driving range with 36 positions, 2 putting greens and 1 chipping green.
 
Designed by Stirling & Martin this course is suitable for amateurs and professionals alike using the latest American design concepts. The fairways are wide and greens ample.

The large, modern Club Houseincludes a pro-shop, club store, clothes shop, restaurant and cafeteria amongst other services.

Sanlucar Country Club: is situated near Las Lomas de Martín Miguel. Not for from Sanlucar de Barrameda, it enjoys spectacular views of the mouth of the River Guadalquivir and Doñana National Park.The course, with its 18 holes and a par of 72, was designed by the Spanish champion Borja Queipo de Llano. It combines two markedly different styles: the first 9 holes are typical of a British links course with features such as undulating fairways, small deep bunkers, and open landscapes. The second nine holes have a more “American” style with more water hazards, doglegs, and tiered greens. The greens are of extremely high quality of the surface of the greens and the gentle undulations make each hole unique.

There is a putting green and a pitching green and golf school, with practice tees on grass.

Golf El Puerto: Is an 18-hole course with a character and identity all its own. An enjoyable course, suitable for players of all levels the holes are protected by the lakes, streams and trees. This 6,300 metres course offers variety and challenge for amateurs and professionals alike.

The facilities include a modern practice course, with greens and bunkers, and a chipping green.Located in El Puerto de Santa María, on the Sanlucar road, about 40 minutes from Casa Alhambra, it has been designed as an attractive 18-hole golf course suitable for players of all handicaps as well as a possible venue for professional tournaments. Designed by the champion golfer Manuel Piñero, highlights of the course include the woodland containing a large quantity of autochthonous species, and an enormous water sheet covering some 33.000 m 2, where the natural run-offs and depressions have been used to create lakes and streams.

Golf El Puerto has achieved an important balance between competition, the sports complex, the daily enjoyment of its players and the nature conservation.
